ATLAS was filmed from a hot air balloon in the Netherlands. It is one of the first works in which I explore the idea of seeing the Earth from above (‘View from Above’), that has lead me to explore the Overview Effect, a concept introduced by space philosopher Frank White, in more recent projects. The title ATLAS recalls explorations and discoveries that gradually lead to the geographical mapping of the globe.
